Featuring covers of Blink (Dude Ranch on the 22nd, Enema of the State on the 23rd!), Descendents,  MxPx, Screeching Weasel, and Green Day, this is not something you'd want to miss, unless you do, that is.

The Mortimer Greene EP is now tangible ( on CD [for now]).

It's been a while since we got these in, but we now have some copies of The Mortimer Greene EP. They came in one night we got back from playing LA, and have been sitting in their box all comfortable-like.

Dsc_0173

This CD version of the EP comes with lyrics, artwork by the one and only Peter Morales, pictures, credits/information people don't really care about, and "Soledad," an instrumental track exclusive to the CD and tape releases. Mike from Lay Me Low Records said the tape should be coming in by the end of the month! Stay tuned for that, young ones.

For a CD, send $5.00 cash ($3.00 + $2.00 shipping and handling) to:

RAKENROL

The show in Los Angeles was pretty damn great. The traffic was slow and steady just as we expected, and we got to the Tribal Cafe in time to see the first band, Fritz Sender after three hours in stop-and go-traffic AND visiting Raineir's grandma at the old people's home in Long Beach ("Schlong Beach," according to Aaron).

We made some good friends and heard some good music from Fritz Sender, Nevermeant, and Third World Labor Force. Jeff Bradley recorded a few songs from our set--what a top notch guy! You can listen to those tracks right here, or on the player below. Better yet, if you download them, you can get a photo set of the whole trip. RAKENROL

MERRY KiDS-MAS! We're going on tour. (Shitty puns included.)

It's pretty awesome. Our good friends MattBear, Nature, Corey, Blake, and Ben from the band KIDS (<---lol, pretty crazy, huh?) are taking us with them on tour December 16-23: one fine week up the California coast. Checkiiit:

Dec. 16th - San Diego
Dec. 17th - LA/OC/Pomona
Dec. 18th - LA/OC/Pomona
Dec. 19th - Santa Barbara
Dec. 20th - Santa Cruz
Dec. 21st - San Jose
Dec. 22nd -Bay Area
Dec. 23rd - Bay Area

...this should be a rough outline of the land that we will soon traverse. Packing it in an RV while Aaron and Manuel complain about how they don't have enough clean socks.

KIDS has a great sound. It's like 50s surf pop with a bit of jazz and 90s-modern shoegaze-y influence. Excellent musicians that definitely have fun with what they do. They have a tape out called "Summer Frights" which you can listen to right here.

Aaaand, we should have our EP out by then too. Give it a listen and download it for free here! More updates soon, thanks.
